[Leftovers] Today in the Internets (10.14.08)
October 14th, 2008 by Will O'HarganA few quick hits from the world of the internets today:
- Variety is reporting that no one is watching NBC’s new show My Own Worst Enemy. I don’t know if it was the duel personality angle that is so tired or the fact that it stars mega-star Christian Slater… but it’ll be lucky to make it to 13 episodes.
- Johniffer is back together, FoxNews reports.
- Dante Love is coming home!
- Entertainment Weekly is asking where the best picture nominees are, after Body of Lies sizzled at the box office, due, in large part, to lackluster reviews and it’s Iraq war setting. Not one of these movies has been a critical or box office hit. Which means it’s time to let Christopher Nolan or Paul Greengrass loose.
- Marvel seems to think all black people look alike, as they’ve replaced Terrance Howard with Don Cheadle in the upcoming Iron Man sequel. It’s some of Howard’s best work, and a real shame.
- The guy who took Mark Foley’s seat? Sex scandal.
- Go, Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny…. oh shit.
- That‘ll teach her!
And finally, because after those last three stories, we need something a bit lighter, here’s a preview for the new Toy Story movie.
