[Your Cyber Persona] Your Facebook App is no longer cool
October 1st, 2008 by Dave StudinskiAllFacebook.com’s Nick O’Neil reports the great fall of the Facebook App.
His app, a countdown clock to President Bush’s exit, had its heyday with 50,000 users, he said. After the Sept. 11 launch of Facebook’s redesign, he saw traffic cut off practically overnight. Exhibit A: The chart below showing the traffic drop by day. (Click to see it larger.)
So begins the agonizing defeat of the Facebook app. Zuck’ and his crew created a giant, money-making hole in their Web site by launching the API in summer 2007. A little more than a year later, they redesign the site to rid users of the application-overload the users brought on themselves.
Below, a chart of the top three Facebook Apps, as determined by Adonomics. Notice the drop in active users and the “valuation” of the app as determined by the site.

Since Facebook stopped reporting the number of installs Adonomics has been broken as hell.
Also, their “valuation” numbers have been a joke since they released them.
