[LOLZ!] Well, this puts a whole new twist on “Chirp, Chirp; it’s bird time.”
February 12th, 2009 by Will O'HarganAs if you needed any more proof that David Letterman was the late night interviewer… he landed an interview with Capt. Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger and the rest of the crew from US Airways Flight 1549. Sure, they’ve been to the Super Bowl, the set of LOST and the Presidential Inauguration, but this is The Late Show with David Letterman. And guess what? The interview was actually pretty darn hilarious.
A real highlight is the co-pilot, Sully’s Paul Schaffer, who has a dry, witty line for every question. Also, Letterman’s question for the flight attendents proves he still asks the tough questions, no matter the interview. Sure, Leno has the ratings and Stewart has the friends, but Letterman has, quite simply, the best talk show going.
