[Circle Jerk] Rep. Weiner takes a firm stance
August 22nd, 2009 by Will O'HarganRep. Anthony Weiner, who shocked Joe Scarborough with his calm rational discussion of Health Care, is quickly become a liberal internet hero. Not only did he manage to make one of America’s largest suppliers of verbal garbage clean up his act, he did so by simply asking a legitimate question: what good are insurance companies? It’s a question Joe wasn’t ready for and deflected several times before eventually complimenting Weiner, asking him to come back on the show and discuss it further. It was a bizarre ray of hope that maybe, just maybe, we can get civil discourse on cable news. And now he’s bringing his act to the floor of the House of Representatives.
