In not one, but two places the man’s receipt said “FUCK YOU.” He reported the offensive receipt, in turn putting the on-duty manager and responsible employee out of jobs.

“All I did was place my order and I got a ‘f— you’ burger,” [the customer] said.

No word yet on BK’s efforts to trademark the “F–k You burger” for placement on its value menu, although popular big-burger chain Hardee’s saw strong resistance to it’s “Motherf-cker Double” late last year.

Going green is the fad of the day, but it seems to be coupled with a re-emergence of Veganism and Vegetarianism.  Two words that should have never been invented.  I could argue about it all day… but why say something that is best said by someone else?

Guiltless grill? Is there another kind? I was looking over a menu in a restaurant the other day when I saw a section for vegetarians; I thought to myself “boy, I sure am glad that I’m not a meat-hating fascist” and I skipped on to the steak section (because I’ll be damned if I’m going to pay $15 for an alfalfa sandwich, slice of cucumber and a scoop of cold cottage cheese)

Years ago Starbucks sold a size smaller than a Tall called a Short. The secret is that the coffee chain will still pour you a Short, if you ask for it. The blog 1000awesomethings.com also reports that you can ask for a Red Eye, which is a cup of coffee with a single shot of espresso, or even a Black Eye, which adds two shots of espresso. LA Weekly adds that you can order any whole-bean coffee French-pressed.

And Taco Bell?

Both Chipotle and Taco Bell will make you something original off the menu, given that they have all of the ingredients on hand. Chipotle customers have been known to order quesadillas, taco salads and nachos. Taco Bell, however, reportedly has a green chili sauce that isn’t well-publicized.

Given my regular experiences, I’m worried about how the Taco Bell staff is making my meal I did order from the menu …

Arguably evil but often tasty Starbucks is charging more for its “complex drinks” effective Thursday, the HuffPost writes. Simpler drinks, such as coffee and lattes, are seeing a price drop.

The price hikes, on average between 10 and 15 cents and as much as 30 cents, went into effect Thursday.

More basic beverages – the latte and plain coffee, among others – will see prices decreased by 5 to 15 cents.

Take that, high school kids!

When buying products whose selling point is richness or weight, consumers like to see the product image at the bottom or the right of the packaging, according to a study to be published in December in The Journal of Marketing.

By contrast, products that are supposed to be healthy or light — like low-calorie cookies or hand-held video cameras — do better with images at the top of the packaging, or on the left.

The study’s authors report that most brands, of 279 cracker and cookie boxes analyzed, adhere to these guidelines, even if subconsciously.
