The Ball State Daily News is talking about how Chris Miller may not see the field much in his last game as the team’s punter (don’t worry, he’ll play plenty in the NFL), how defense will be the difference despite two powerful offenses, how Phil Simms (and everyone else) likes Nate Davis and keeping us up to date on the weather.

The Star Press is offering an article on Nate Davis’ draft situation and a live chat with Greg Fallon! Yay!

Finally, and most importantly, we present conclusive evidence that the words to the fight song are not that hard to learn (and also are adorable):

Nate Davis has emerged as a legit NFL Prospect. With this year being such a down year for NCAA Senior Quarterbacks in general, it has to seem even more likely that Davis will go pro at the end of the season. Our friend, Ryan Wood, explained that it was once again Athletic Department ineptitude that kept Davis from having any sort of Heisman campaign. There is a Nate Davis for Heisman website, but it has no connection to the athletic department.

At yet Nate Davis is a legit pro prospect. How unique is that? While Ball State has produced a fair share of NFL talent, never a quarterback. The MAC is the cradle of QBs, and Ball State is finally joining the party. Not everyone is sold on him yet, but he’s No. 5 here and mentioned as a possible first QB taken here. A Colts executive was at the Northern Illinois game.

But perhaps the most telling of all this? Nate Davis opens a segment with Todd McShay and Doug Flutie talking about NFL Prospects on ESPN. McShay says he’s a second rounder right now.
