William Standard was arrested around 1:15 p.m. by Muncie patrolmen Darrin Clark and Brian Campbell, the latter a rookie officer who has been notified he will be laid off in a cost-cutting move previously announced by Mayor Sharon McShurley.

An unknown perpetrator vandalized the hand sculpture in the Fullerton College Sculpture Garden on the southeast corner of Chapman Avenue and Lemon Avenue for the second time since sculptor Todd Frahm, former FC faculty member, finished in spring 2007.

In this case, “Sounds like someone who’s trying to be a jerk,” MacDonald said.

We’re picking up on this a few months late, but we must give props to The Hornet staff for their original headline: “Campus Sculpture Given Secondhand Job.”
