Glenn Beck is a rating hit for Fox News despite, it seems, having dove head first into a pool of crazy while wearing a swimming cap that prevented any knowledge from entering his brain. This time he isn’t crying for the cameras, or mongering fear… he’s at the Alamo on tax day for a tea party. This is a few days old, but I’m exactly going out of my way to watch Glenn Beck. Here, verbatim, is how he opened the show:

“The media, the media understands that the fathers dressed up as Indians and threw some tea into the Boston harbor, but for the life of them can not understand why these people are in their streets all across America today. I will explain. Plus Ted Nugent, Penn Gillette, and people actually like you coming together to saying ‘Enough is Enough’. They take a stand and together they will draw a line in the sand. Here. Where it was originally drawn. Live at the Alamo.”

First off, the only founding father that has a possible involvement in the tea party was Samuel Adams. Why was Sam Adams involved? Maybe Teatime got in the way of Happy Hour. Regardless, very few were actually dressed as Indians. The dressing up as Indians was a myth inspired by the famous lithograph “The Destruction of Tea at Boston Harbor“. Of course, the Alamo doesn’t have anything to do with the tea party, but I think that’s a given, seeing as how it is in Texas. And, while, yes there was a line in the sand drawn at the Alamo, it was meant more as a metaphor for accepting certain death over surrender. Which, actually, might fit what the Republican Party is doing now.

Don’t believe me? You can watch the video below. The best part is the Ted Nugent guitar solo for the introduction.

Just when you thought the teabagging humor couldn’t get any more silly… or hilarious… FoxNews released a pseudoarticle lambasting MSNBC and CNN for mocking teabaggers.

For thousands of Americans, Tax Day was a moment to protest what they see as bloated budgets and a pile of debt being passed on to their children.

For CNN, MSNBC and other media outlets, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to use the word “teabagging” in a sentence.

Teabagging, for those who don’t live in a frat house, refers to a sexual act involving part of the male genitalia and a second person’s face or mouth.

The article then goes on to explain the veiled references to teabagging (the sexual act, not the bizarre an unenlightened form of protest) from Rachel Maddow, David Shuster and Anderson Cooper.

“It’s hard to talk when you’re teabagging,” Cooper explained. Gergen laughed, but Cooper kept a straight face.

Later, the article directly addresses Maddow and Cox’s back and fourth (which you can see here and here) in the most absurd way possible:

If anyone thinks the orally charged remarks on mainstream cable were just a coincidence, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow’s segments over the past week with guest, Air America’s Ana Marie Cox, would dissolve all doubt. Their on-air gymnastics, dancing around the double entendre of the week, looked like live-action Beavis and Butthead.

FoxNews, of course, ignoring their own live-action Beavis and Butthead in the form of Glenn Beck and whomever they have on that agrees with Glenn Beck.

The bottom line is this: FoxNews doesn’t think teabagging is a bad name, but CNN and MSNBC should be more mature than to make crude, sixth grade jokes about a sexual act involving putting the testicles and scrotum on to someones face.

And yet, doesn’t some of the blame fall on the teabaggers themselves… those who claim to be oppressed and overtaxed when, in fact, the only people who’s taxes were hightened were the top 5% of wageearners? The proverbial teabaggers, not the teabagees that they would claim to be?

I think teabagging humor has reached it’s apex. I honeslty think that teabagging can not get any funnier, and I haven’t even seen the Daily Show and Colbert Report’s takes on it yet.

Actually, you know, if Dick Lugar starts talking about teabagging, then it could be just a little funnier.

I also wonder what sort of traffic “Dick Lugar teabagging” is going to drive to the site. For now, he’s Anderson Cooper talking from personal experence, I assume:

Even MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow can’t resist now. Watch her staff crack her up a quarter of the way into the segment:
